This week’s blogging question, “What is Coraline’s relationship with animals like?”

Coraline’s first approximation of a word was “cat” and this remains her only word.

She also loves to see the Makaton signs for animals, and in particular farm animals, and one of the noises she frequently makes is “aaa” for sheep whenever she sees a picture of one.

She is not afraid of animals and is more likely to reach out and squeeze their nose too hard.
