Response to being home

I’ve joined a group of mums to answer a Monday question.

This week’s is, “how is your child responding to being at home more?”

She does seem to be herself really playing with her toys and books, with the usual ups and downs. She’s enjoying more of Kevin’s singing, certainly.

This was her on a walk recently.

It does feel odd that we can’t explain to her what’s happening, or why her days are different, as she doesn’t have the receptive language (understanding of what we’re saying) for that.

I wonder what she feels about it. But she seems accepting and is really developing in her interaction at the moment - getting us to point to things in her books by taking our hand in hers, showing us she wants her favourite nursery rhyme, “Wind the bobbin up,” by doing the first action of it, and bringing us her empty crisp packet as if to say, “fix this being empty,” (all new things) which we love. #homelife
