I just said to Kevin, “I’m writing a post about Coraline’s teeth,” and he replied, “she ain’t got any teeth”. That is what I was going to write about!

It is interesting that Coraline will expect to get her teeth between age one to two. For babies without Down’s Syndrome teeth begin to arrive from six months old onwards. I took Coraline to the Dentist for the first time on Tuesday this week for an appointment of about a minute and thirty seconds, as they say it’s good for her to get familiar with going there.

It was good fun and they said to start swishing a bit of toothpaste about in her mouth, so she gets used to the sensation, in advance of the teeth coming in when we will begin brushing, so she doesn’t reject it then. The later appearance of her teeth doesn’t affect weaning, which she began at the usual time of six months old. Hence she’s enjoying the kingfish curry this week, no less.#teething #baby #trisomy21

Coraline’s bib (given to us by Dutch friends at our wedding) is quite apt. She’s been dining on spiced kingfish curry this week made by Kevin (no chilli). I’m not sure I’ve ever happened upon a kingfish in my time#dadwasachef #kingfish
