I have shoeboxes for each year since August 2017, the summer Coraline was born.

I put in little treasured items, postcards from friends, or news clippings from that year.

In 2017’s box there are all the amazing cards we received when Coraline was born and our engagement cards full of love. In 2018 we have wedding Congratulations cards.

To add to this year’s shoebox I have handwritten a letter to tell Coraline about this time, and how it has all unfolded from the date we began staying at home. It is to tell her what we, as her parents, have learned about ourselves from it, and how she, herself, has delighted us with her engagement and development at this moment.

I’ve told her what our routine has been, and how we have learned to appreciate the little things more.
