“All good things come through her door. The niceness of human nature that is there has come back because of her”.

This is what Sangitaa said to me about her daughter Ashu, during a telephone chat we had when Coraline was exactly a month old. My friend Katie put me in touch with Sangitaa who lives in India and has four children. Her third child, Ashu, has Down’s Syndrome and will be 27 years old this year.

Sangitaa said to me, “even though we’ve never met, I’m going to talk to you as if I’ve known you all my life”. It is a conversation I love to look back on.#ourstory #t21
