Present in the moment

“Being present in the moment”; this is something that I find brings real joy. It’s funny that this was in the jam jar lid on my wedding day morning!

As much as I can, it’s about being there fully present with Coraline when I am with her, or with anyone else for that matter! And whatever we are doing, enjoying it and living right where we are.

Noticing it. Not thinking about what’s going to happen in the future, or what we’re about to do, or what might have been, but just being where we are.

Today Coraline was at our neighbour Margaret’s and I was sat in the garden under our oak tree and a squirrel was above me holding and eating an acorn. I could feel little shreds of the acorn falling onto me whilst I was reading and it was the best thing in the world. Margaret and I were just talking about loving Coraline at this age and really appreciating her right now, just as she is, at one year old. She’s the most beautifulgirl #acorns #oneyearold #values #beinginthemoment
