Moving house
“It was a beautiful moment moving in with you, and still is,” Kevin said to me just now.
Tomorrow we move house. We are moving locally a 25 min walk way, for the sole reason of having more space.
This photo is taken at our house the day we moved in (and moved in together for the first time) on 5 August 2016. The following year Kevin proposed to me in Ireland and Coraline was born on 7 August 2017. The year after we got married on 19 July 2018 (anniversary this Sunday).
All these moments have happened at this house and so many more, like setting off on our big trip to Australia on New Year’s Eve 2018. Yes, it is the house we brought Coraline home to from the hospital after she was born. I love this house everyday. Everyday I say to myself, “wow I love this house”. Our neighbours are amazing. What a relationship that is. And our landlords too, who used to live here before renting it to us. They are simply lovely. We have been very lucky.
But moving we are. I know that I get attached to things and find change hard but my coaches on my goal setting programme have been superb in helping me to step into change. I loved what @meonnua who is also on the programme said to me. She said there will be hidden benefits you haven’t even thought about and that yes, it will be different, but to look on those differences as positive.
The second photo is of Coraline in the kitchen this morning. She’s at our neighbours’ now whilst we move. In the new place she will have her own room (currently her room doubles as our guestroom).
